    Hello Friends, today I am Discussing about 23rd March Pakistan Day. Hope you people will enjoy this blog. Pakistan day is observed or celebrated on the 23rd of March every year. It is an important day in the history of Pakistan. In 1940, the Muslims of India demanded a separate home-land for themselves through a resolution called the Pakistan Resolution. It was passed in the annual session of the AU India Muslim League, held at Lahore on "the 23rd of March, 1940.

   In this resolution Quaid-i- Azam expressed his vision for an independent nation for the Muslims of India. Within 7 years after passing this resolution, we gained independence on the 14th of August 1947, under the wise leadership of the Quaid-e-Azam.

This year also, we celebrated Pakistan Day with traditional enthusiasm and renewed pledge to make, the country a strong, progressive and prosperous Islamic welfare state. The day dawned with 31-guns salute in the federal capital Islamabad and other Cities of Pakistan. Special prayers were offered in all mosques for the solidarity and well-being of the country.

It is a public holiday in country. The National Flags are hoisted on all public and private buildings throughout the country on this day. Newspapers published special supplements featuring articles, highlighting the importance of the day. Radio and television telecast programmes and talk shows on the significance of the day. Seminars and functions are organized at various places, colleges and schools. The highlight of the day is the Armed Forces Parade which is held at the Shakar parian, Islamabad. The parade is witnessed by thousands of people. Today The President and the Prime Minister took the salute at the parade. It was followed by a wonderful fly-past of the pakistan airforce aircrafts. The parade was rounded-off with a heartwarming display of free fall jumps from a height of 1000 feet by the paratroopers of the SSG commandos of the Pakistan Army, Navy and airforce. We watched this exciting and wonderful programme on television.

   Lastly, I will pray for prosperity and well being for my country. May Allah protect our country from enemies. Pakistan Zindabad.
